Celebrity Privacy?

This is my first time blogging on a “blogging site” and I find it a little scary. However I am hardly ever at a loss for words so perhaps I can manage to make my first post not overly generic?

What I have been finding extremely ironic on TV lately is the celebrity demand for privacy. Which is mainly requested by pop princesses that have gotten their hides tanned by the tabloids after a DUI or two or one too many botched love affairs. The main reason I have a problem with this is because these pop and social icons (Li-Lo, Brit, Paris, etc.) would like the ability to choose and set on their own terms when they have cameras in their faces. I feel there is a invisible contract that is signed when you decide to put your face into the public arena, this contract clearly highlights the revoking of privacy privileges. If you want your face on the big screen, the small screen, on stage, or on an album cover, then you must be realize and accept that you will be in the public eye forever (or until your fame wanes). What tickles me is that it is the teen/young adult superstars that cry about this the most. In songs such as “Piece Of Me” by Britney Spears or “Rumours” by Lindsay Lohan we see the same message: LEAVE ME ALONE. Sorry, girls, not that simple. You can’t just pop in and out of the spotlight whenever you want. You told your public that you would perform for them and they want a round the clock show.

Bottom Line: Want some privacy? Wear a disguise.
